Seinye Lulu-Briggs Can't Stop This Macabre Dance

Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs has gone agog over the so-called autopsy report which she contrived in collaboration with a usurper pathologist that bungled the autopsy ordered by the Coroner in July 2019.

The report has been ensnared in controversies because Seinye went to a High Court to request that the autopsy report be submitted to the High Court instead of the Coroner Court that ordered for the autopsy.

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs had since queried the report because it was not conducted in line with the guideline set out by the Ghana Police which was also obtained as an order of court.

The police guidelines clearly stated that:

1. Col. Dr. Attoh should conduct the autopsy.

2. Pathologists representing Seinye Lulu-Briggs, Dumo Lulu-Briggs and his brother and the police shall be present in the theatre.

3. That tissue samples shall be given to the parties.

Curiously, on the day of the autopsy, another pathologist, Dr. Lawrence Edusie gatecrashed into the theatre and conducted the autopsy, sending out the pathologists representing Dumo Lulu-Briggs and the Nigerian Police and refused to give tissue samples to the parties.

It would be recalled that it was this same Dr. Lawrence Edusie that assisted Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs on 27/12/18 to obtain a medical death certificate and to smuggle the corpse from the Kotoka International Airport, Ghana into a mortuary in Accra, without any report of such death to the Ghana security agencies.

On the day the autopsy was conducted, even before a preliminary report was released, Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs had gone to town with the story that the autopsy report had exonerated her.

Since then, Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs had moved from one court to another to get the controversial autopsy report submitted.

On September, 6, 2019 the Coroner who ordered for the autopsy was angry that she had not received any report since she ordered the autopsy in July, 2019. The Coroner therefore ordered for an inquest into the death of High Chief O.B. Lulu-Briggs, saying that with the additional information she has, she has reasonable cause to believe that the deceased didn't die a natural death.

While this was on, a High Court in Ghana delivered the historical December 23, 2019 judgment which ordered the corpse to be released to the family led by Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs. In that same judgement, the judge ordered the police to submit the July autopsy report to the court registry.

Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs then ran to the Ghana Supreme Court, challenging the jurisdiction of the Coroner to order an inquest and requested the Supreme Court to quash the order to release the corpse to the family led by Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs.

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs also appealed, asking that the Supreme Court should order the police to submit the July autopsy report to the Coroner that ordered for it and not to a High Court as Seinye Lulu-Briggs wanted.

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs' reason is that the autopsy was not conducted in line with the guideline set out by the police and the order of court. Therefore if the autopsy report is submitted to the Coroner, it would give lawyers the opportunity to put the usurper pathologist in the duck to answer to some questions and challenge the authenticity of the autopsy report.

Yesterday, 11/02/20, the Ghana Supreme Court threw out Seinye Lulu-Briggs' application that requested to stop the family led by Dumo Lulu-Briggs from taking custody of the corpse. The Supreme Court also threw out Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs application that the July autopsy report be submitted to the Coroner instead of the High Court.

Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs now takes to the media claiming that the controversial autopsy report says that her husband died of natural causes, thereby exonerating her of any wrong doing.

She has however refused to tell the public that by the Supreme Court ruling, she had lost her application to stop the family from taken custody of the body and also lost her application to stop the inquest ordered by the Coroner which would now proceed as ordered.
