The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami on Friday, 7th February, 2020 chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee on the Reform and Modernization of the Nigerian Postal Service which was held at Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
The reform and modernization is part of an effort to drive a Digital Economy for a Digital Nigeria and position the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) on the part of prosperity in line with the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians, who have taking to the Social Media to voice their discontent with the current state of the postal service.
The move is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s Next Level agenda of providing effective and efficient services to Nigerians and revitalizing other non-oil sectors that have been neglected over the years in a bid to diversify Nigeria’s Economy.
Dr Pantami listened to presentations made by the Steering Committee members who recently undertook a study tour of France, China and Morocco and also, a presentation by KPMG.
